Daddy,

Thank you for being the best dad a girl could ask for. Thank you for taking time to talk to me and listen. For staying up late playing card games with me while I was sick. For making me laugh, and putting up with my goofiness. Thank you for teaching me how to work hard. Thank you for teaching me the gospel and then being an example of how to live it. Thank you for teaching me how to have fun and be silly. For never giving up on me and my dreams, even when I had doubts. Thank you for teaching me how a man should treat his wife. Thank you for working hard every day and never complaining. And thank you for always loving me, even when I was hard to love. I feel like a very lucky girl to have a dad as great as you!

Love you,

Savannah

If you ever need something to lift your spirits, look no further than Frank Sinatra. Start up your favorite Sinatra classic, turn up the volume on your music player and dance around the kitchen. I guarantee you will be smiling in no time.
Every morning I wake up to the song “That’s Life” by the fabulous Frank Sinatra.  I love starting off each day by singing along, stretching out and of course spining around a few times. Some of my favorite lyrics come from this song and I insist on sharing a few lines.

That's Life
And as funny as it may seem
Some people get their kicks
Stomping on a dream
But I don't let it, let it get me down
'Cause this fine old world
It keeps spinning around

I thought of quitting baby
But my heart just ain't gonna buy it

I've been up and down and over and out
And I know one thing
Each time I find myself laying
Flat on my face
I just pick myself up and get back in the race!

That's Life. Never give up!

Hooray! Summer is officially here and it feels great. Late nights, hammocks, water, snow cones, friends, parks, freckles and sun! It is the season to be silly, adventurous and free. Let’s have a great summer.

How many times have you thought to yourself, "Everything will be perfect when ....."  I have plenty of times! "Everything will be perfect when I am done with this paper." "Life will be so much better when I am done with school."  The problem is there will always be the next thing. There will always be another test or another bill to pay so, when will everything be perfect? The trick is discovering "life doesn't have to be perfect to be wonderful." Being perfect is boring. The silliness, mistakes, challenges and surprises are what make life exciting. So don't wait for things to be perfect because life is wonderful right now!
