This week I have tried several different recipes. Some I loved, and let’s just say others I will not be making again. I wanted to share one of my new favorite recipes for a Banana Oatmeal smoothie! Blend together 1 banana, 1 cup of ice, 1/4 cup cooked oatmeal, 1 T chopped almonds, 1/2 cup milk (I like rice milk) and a pinch of cinnamon. This smoothie is filling, healthy and very tasty!
"You have exactly one life in which to do everything you'll ever do. Act Accordingly." - Colin Wright. My brothers and I have a little joke about the popular word/phrase yolo or you only live once. We have started to use it as a justification to eat that second piece of cake or wear pajamas all day. My personal favorite though is using it to get out of trouble. (Which of course rarely happens because we are all model children ;) ) Despite our joking tendencies, when I came upon the quote stated above by Colin Wright I became excited. I began to think of all the things I want to do during this life. The places I wanted to travel, the people I wanted to meet and the food I HAD to try! Then I thought, I am living life now! Therefore I need to travel those places, meet so many people and eat until I can't anymore, now! YOLO, do it right.

First off I have to put in a little plug for Color Me Mine! I went for my first time this weekend and had a wonderful time. For those of you who have never been this is how it works. First, you pick out one or several items to paint. Second, you select colors, stencils, stamps, brushes and anything else your heart desires to decorate with. Third you paint! I am officially hooked and can't wait to get back there.

I, like I'm sure several of you are, am a bit obsessed with Emma Watson. She has several quotes I absolutely adore, but I came across one this week that I think takes the cake! "Don't feel stupid if you don't like what everyone else pretends to love."-Emma Watson. YES! This is so important to remember. Don't be afraid to be your own person. Always be true to who you are and what you believe. "Don't feel stupid!"

I have a great mom and I love her.  She is the kind of mom that wakes up early to make you breakfast every morning and heart attacks your room on Valentines day.  She watches Vampire Diaries with you and then watches it again, when it is just that good!  She makes green eggs and ham on St. Patricks day, and paints your room five times when you simply can't decide on a color.  She is the kind of mom that will travel the country just to support you and your dreams.  She never gives up on you.  She gets excited about every good grade you get.  She sits through hours, and hours, and HOURS of dance recitals.  She loves you and never lets you forget it.  She supports your decisions.  My mom teaches me every day!  I love you mommy!

I have recently discovered my joy in running! This week I will begin training for my first half marathon. I must admit I am a bit terrified. However, I love a challenge! And nothing beats the fulfillment of working towards a goal, and ultimately, conquering it. Having an excuse to buy new running shoes, iPod running equipment and exercise clothes is never a bad thing either.

Once again I have been captivated by a quote! I have read this quote about a hundred times this week (this may be a bit of an exaggeration) and I think it says it all. So without further ado, here are a few beautiful words to soak in. "Work for a cause, not for applause. Live to express, not to impress. Don't strive to make your presence noticed, just make your absence felt." -Unknown. There you go. Make your absence felt!
