Do not look back, and grieve over the past
 for it is gone;
Do not be troubled by the future,
for it has not yet come.
Live in the present, and make it so beautiful
that it will be worth remebering.

What a beautiful quote.  It is certainly easier said than done. Living in the present is something I want to work on.  I want to dream big, work hard, laugh often, learn daily and love a lot.  I have always used the expression "no regrets".  To look back on this life and regret not giving it my all would be a sad thing.  So today I am promising myself to "Live in the present, and make it so beautiful".
This week I took a moment to think about all I am grateful for.  Of course my family was top of my list, followed by friends, education, talents, opportunities, my home, my teachers, where I live and my job.  After making this list I got thinking about the gospel and all the blessings I recieve from having it in my life.  So I made a second list.  I am grateful for the church, the Temple, The Book of Mormon, the Prophet, my leaders, prayer, the Atonement and my Savior Jesus Christ.  I love the Gospel of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.  It gives me strength and hope everyday.
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart."  Proverbs 3:5

Three keys to happiness:
1. Go to the Temple
2. Attend Institute
3. Listen to Adele Radio on Pandora!

What a great week!  This Monday for FHE our ward made school kits for underprivileged children in Mexico.  This activity made me excited to do more service.  My dream is to travel to Peru with my dad and serve the people there.  Someday someday.  Tuesday my dear friend Alexa and I went to the Provo Temple!  How blessed are we to have so many Temples we can attend.  As we were leaving the Temple we decided to make the goal to visit every Temple in Utah by the end of April.  We already have two down!  Wednesday is the best day of my week because that is the day I go to Institute.  Brother Lewis has me smiling and feeling the spirit the entire time I am there. The blessings you receive by going to Institute are incredible.  I would encourage everyone that can to attend.  Thursday I listened to ALOT of Adele Radio.  She really needs to stop reading my diary! Haha every song of hers seems to be exactly what I need to hear.  Friday was roommate pancake party!! Boy oh boy were they delicious.  We are all starting to finally figure out this cooking thing.  Saturday was crazy.  While out for dinner (cafe rio!) with a friend the nicest man came up to us and offered us two tickets to the BYU football game.  Third row!  We had a blast and the team played great.  Blessings of going to the Temple?? Perhaps haha.  Today before going to church I listened to the talk given by President Boyd K. Packer in this Octobers General Conference.  I loved that he talked directly to the youth and young people of the church.  Sundays have become one of my favorite days. So lucky to have the fullness of the gospel in my life!

I finally did it! I started a blog.  I am going to try my very best to post every Sunday.  For my first post I want to talk about my incredible friends!  I have had a weekend full of crazy, silly and exciting experiences with some of my wonderful friends, new and old.  I was brought back to my Junior High School days this weekend when I was able to have a slumber party with my three girls.  Alexa Schmidt, Misti Hill and Lauren Wardell know exactly how to get me going.  Our night consited of girl talk, alot of laughing and the occasional cry.  It was exactly what I needed to get me through this upcoming week.  I was also able to get in some good laughs this weekend with my good friend Daniel.  We always have a blast together.  I am sure most of you know this past friday was 11-11-11.  It was a day I will most certainly never forget.  I had the chance to perform 11 acts of service with some incredible people.  It wasn't easy, but I can confidently say we accomplished our task and hopefully helped some individuals out.  To top of the weekend I was able to attend two missionary farewells today.  I feel very lucky to know such worthy and strong young men that are willing to serve the lord and their fellow brothern.  I wish them all the luck and know they will do a sensational job! I will be forever thankful for my friends.  I love them all!
Love,
Savannah
